👋 Hi, I’m Delara Forghani
I am a PhD student in the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. I am interesteed in desigining cool and new interaction techniques and input methods especially with the help of the extended reality. My current research area focuses on designing tutorials for users in augmented reality. I work in the Exii group under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Vogel.
I did my master’s in the Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo focusing on Human-robot Interaction and Social Robotics under the supervisions of
Prof. Kerstin Dautenhahn and Prof. Chrystopher Nehaniv in the Social and Intelligent Robotics Research Laboratory. My resarch invovled developing a humanoid social robot ( Pepper by Aldebaran Robotics) for presentation rehearsals, and giving feedback on the speech style and vocal aspects of the presentation.
